Honouring his passion for life and cherishing his relationships have made John Faratro a happy and successful man.
His company Struktur builds and markets high quality, superior urban living spaces that offer a comfortable neighbourhood life. His passion for life enables him to look for the small details that make for luxurious living – real wood floors, tiles imported from Italy, powerful sound proofing, all delivered in a truly turnkey concept.
He has delivered condo projects in Little Italy, Ahuntsic, Mile-End, Hochelage-Maisonneuve and soon in Griffintown, and is about to announce new projects in prime locations such as Plateau Mont-Royal and Villeray. As a former commercial broker, recognized as one of the top industrial specialists; he had his own brokerage firm which he eventually sold to an international agency; then was Senior Vice-President for the industrial group of a world-leading international real estate brokerage firm. John also owns several residential, commercial and office buildings.
Regardless of how busy his properties can keep him, John spends most of his time developing true relationships. Buying a condo can be a stressful experience, especially the first one. John is very sensitive to his clients’ concerns and apprehensions and will help them gain confidence as he takes them through the whole process. Building on this trusting connection, many of his buyers have become good personal friends of his. Several of them even found their way on the Board of his foundation Grands Plaisirs Grande Cause, which raises funds for kids charities (their last event in May raised $159,000 for Ste-Justine).
“I’m very proud and passionate about what I do. I always ask myself – Would I live in this unit? Is it good enough for me?” John appreciates the finest things in life, including wine, travel, and the company of amazing people. As a business owner he is extremely accessible through direct communication. As a personal friend, I hear he is thoughtful and generous – and that he has a hilarious sense of humour. A trait that I often find in successful entrepreneurs, John does mix business and pleasure with just the right balance to build long-lasting relationships and deliver on his promises.
From his modest debuts where his dad helped him land a summer job managing apartment buildings, John got the itch for real estate. While getting a good education in political science and economics and getting involved in politics, John positioned himself very well in the industry. Now he only does what he loves, and does it perfectly.
